Apple is set to introduce a new application named “Passwords” to assist users in managing their login information, according to a Bloomberg report. The announcement is anticipated at Apple’s upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next week.
Currently, Apple provides password management through iCloud Keychain, which allows users to save their passwords across various devices, including iPhones, iPads, and the Vision Pro. The forthcoming Passwords app will offer similar synchronization capabilities but with added features and enhanced organization.
The Passwords app will categorize logins into different sections, such as accounts, Wi-Fi networks, and passkeys, providing a more organized and user-friendly experience. One of the standout features is its cross-platform support, as the app will reportedly extend compatibility to Windows. However, there is no information yet on whether it will be available for Android devices.
