Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani came together for the 2019 comedy Good Newwz. Five years later, the actresses are likely to team up again for KGF star Yash’s upcoming biggie called Toxic.
A source was quoted by Pinkvilla, “The film will feature three actresses with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani already on board. However, the makers will make an official announcement at the right time. The insider also revealed that Kareena will be playing Yash’s sister in the film.”
The Crew actress confirmed her big South debut in a fan interaction on a Zoom meeting and said, “Now, like I said, I might be doing a very big South film. Now it’s like, all pan-India so I don’t know where I’ll be shooting, but I’m excited for all my fans to know that it’s going to be the first time that I will be doing this.”
In one of the recent Koffee With Karan episodes, Kareena during the rapid-fire round shared he would love to work with Yash. As Karan Johar asked, “Which south actor would you like to be paired up with? Prabhas, Ram Charan, Vijay Deverakonda, Allu Arjun, and Yash,” the actress expressed her desire to collaborate with the southern sensation, declaring herself a ‘KGF girl.’

In December last year, Yash announced his 19th film along with the title and a short clip, giving a glimpse of his character. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film will reportedly also feature Sai Pallavi and is likely to go on the floors very soon.
“What you seek is seeking you – Rumi. A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC,” he wrote. The video opens, showing a few anti-heroes including DC Comics’ villain Joker. It further gives a glimpse of the actor’s looks in the film, Yash can be seen wearing a hat while holding a cigar in his mouth.
The film will hit the screens on 10th April 2025.
