SRH’s opening pair of Head and Sharma made quick work of the chase, reaching the target in just 9.4 overs and defeating LSG by 10 wickets. Head scored 89 not out, while Abhishek made 75 not out, guiding SRH to third place on the points table.

Following this dominant win, SRH moved up the table with 14 points from 12 games, while LSG remained in sixth place with 12 points from 12 games and faces a tough road ahead to reach the top four.

LSG captain KL Rahul struggled with the bat as SRH’s opening pair showcased exceptional batting skills. LSG’s bowlers had no answer to Head and Abhishek’s attacking display, as they reached the target with ease.

SRH’s strong fielding display, backed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s fine bowling, set the tone for the match. Bhuvneshwar’s figures of 4-0-12-2 were instrumental in restricting LSG’s batting efforts.

Debutant Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, the first cricketer from Jaffna to play in an internationally televised game, had a solid start with the ball for SRH.
