Mahindra XUV700 Achieves Production Milestone of Two Lakh SUVs with Fresh Details

Mahindra is celebrating a major milestone as the XUV700 has now crossed the two lakh production mark in just 33 months since its launch back in August 2021. As a tribute to this achievement, Mahindra is unveiling two new eye-catching colour options for the SUV – Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. These new additions join the existing lineup of single-tone colours including Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage, and Napoli Black.

The XUV700 is driven by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 200hp and a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering up to 185hp. Both powertrains offer a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic. For those seeking more traction, the diesel variant is also available with an all-wheel-drive setup while the petrol model is front-wheel drive only.

In terms of pricing, the XUV700 ranges from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh, positioning itself against competitors such as the Tata Harrier, Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Jeep Compass. Looking ahead, Mahindra is gearing up to introduce an all-electric version of the XUV700 called the XUV.e8, anticipated to hit the market by the end of this year.

Exciting times are ahead for Mahindra as they continue to innovate and expand their offerings in the competitive SUV market.
