‘Mustafizur’s IPL Learnings are Unnecessary, CSK Unconcerned About His Fitness: BCB Official’s Fiery Outburst | Cricket’

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) recently granted Mustafizur Rahman an extended No-Objection Certificate to play for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL. This extension allows Mustafizur to participate in key matches for CSK, including clashes against the Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and the Punjab Kings.

After completing his IPL commitments, Mustafizur will return to Bangladesh for the national team’s T20I series against Zimbabwe and an international T20I series against the United States of America. However, BCB’s cricket operations chairman, Jalal Yunus, expressed concerns about Mustafizur’s stint in the IPL, stating that the pacer has “nothing to learn” in the league and criticizing CSK for not prioritizing his fitness.

Yunus emphasized the importance of managing Mustafizur’s workload and ensuring his fitness for the upcoming series. Despite Yunus’ remarks, Mustafizur has been a key performer for CSK in the IPL 2024, currently holding the third position in the Purple Cap leaderboard with 10 wickets in five matches.

In their upcoming matches, CSK will face the Lucknow Super Giants twice within six days, continuing their strong performance in the tournament. As CSK maintains their position in the league table, fans eagerly await Mustafizur’s contributions on the field.
