During the IPL 2024 faceoff between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals in Delhi on Tuesday, Parth Jindal, the co-owner of Delhi Capitals, could not control his emotions. Jindal showed a rare display of emotions, reacting strongly on two occasions – once when Sanju Samson was controversially given out, and secondly when Delhi Capitals secured a 20-run win to stay in the Playoffs race. While Jindal’s outburst was captured on camera and went viral, his gesture towards Samson and Rajasthan Royals after the match went unnoticed.
On their Instagram account, Delhi Capitals shared a surprising moment where Jindal, Samson, and RR owner Manoj Badale were seen together. After the intense game, the two owners and the RR captain engaged in a friendly chat, in stark contrast to the heated moments during the match. Jindal, in a complete change of tone from earlier, was warm and cordial as he interacted with Samson and exchanged pleasantries with the Royals captain.

Despite Samson’s brilliant performance, scoring 86 runs from 46 balls, his dismissal at a crucial moment led to controversy. The catch by Shai Hope was disputed by Samson and the Royals, but the third umpire ruled in favor of Delhi Capitals, causing more chaos. During this time, Jindal was seen gesturing towards Samson, indicating he was out.

With this win, DC has climbed to fifth on the IPL 2024 points table, with a strong performance in the second half of the season. The emergence of Jake Fraser-McGurk has been a key factor in their success, as the Australian youngster has been in exceptional form with his aggressive batting.
