Actress Manisha Koirala, who is garnering rave reviews for her portrayal of Mallikajaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi, opened up about the oral sex scene with Shekhar Suman in the web show.

“I was in Nepal doing gardening when I got a call from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office. Sanjay said on call, ‘Manisha there is a good role for you, just read the script.’ I was so happy. I had stopped dreaming about working with him,” said the actress while talking to Bollywood Bubble.

When questioned about the oral sex scene in the show, Manisha revealed that she wasn’t aware of it adding, “When rehearsals were going on, it must have been new.”

Talking about that scene, Suman’s character Nawab approaches Koirala’s Mallikajaan but is too drunk to realize where she is sitting. As per Shekhar, filmmaker Bhansali envisioned the actor’s character turning around for fellatio mid-air thinking that Mallikajaan is sitting on that side. “Everything that Sanjay does, he tries to bring in a new element,” added Manisha Koirala.

The actress also opened up on working with three Khans in the industry (Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan) and said, “Salman ne joh Being Human khola hai, kafi madad karta hai gareeb aur jisko zarorat hai. Mujhe malum hai kafi cancer patients ko unhone madad kiya hai aur doctors ko bolte hai ki mera naam mat lo ki mere taraf se (help) jaa raha hai. (Salman Khan, via his Being Human foundation, has helped many poor and needy. I know he had contributed towards the treatment of several cancer patients and asked the doctors not to disclose his identity.)”

Heeramandi also features Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Fardeen Khan among others.
