Rising star Aroh Welankar marks his entry into the film industry by working with acclaimed director Kabir Khan on the much-anticipated movie ‘Chandu Champion.’ Welankar, who caught the eye of the filmmakers through his previous auditions, has been cast in a pivotal role as Kartik Aaryan’s son.

Debutant actor Aroh Welankar shared his experience working with director Kabir Khan for the first time: “There’s an interesting story behind my casting for this film. I had auditioned with Mukesh Chhabra for ‘83, a Kabir Khan film, and although I was almost selected, it didn’t work out. However, they had seen my audition and decided to cast me in this role as Kartik Aaryan’s son. I have always admired Kabir Khan; he’s consistently delivered massive hits, often grossing 200-300 crores. He was always on my wishlist.”

He further added, “On set, Kabir sir is unlike many directors who stay behind the monitors. He actively engages with the actors, rehearses lines, and gives and takes inputs. Even though I had a small role in my first film, he involved me in discussions and valued my input. Kabir Khan is truly inspiring, and I feel very fortunate to start my career with such a remarkable director.”

On the work front, Aroh Welankar captured the hearts of fans with his performance in the movie Rege. He later appeared in Ghanta and also starred in Hostel Days. Additionally, Aroh entered the second season of Bigg Boss Marathi as a wild card contestant. His movie Rege won the National Award Rajat Kamal for Best Film in 2022.
