Tata Altroz launches with added features and new variants.

The top-of-the-line Altroz XZ+ OS trim can now be yours starting from Rs 9.99 lakh.

In an exciting update to the Altroz hatchback range, Tata Motors has introduced two new high-spec trims – XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX. Not only that, but the company has also enhanced the top-spec Altroz XZ+ OS trim by adding more features.

  • Altroz XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX are priced from Rs 9 lakh and Rs 9.65 lakh onwards, respectively
  • Altroz XZ+ OS now offers more equipment and costs around Rs 34,000 more

What’s new in the 2024 Tata Altroz range?

With a price tag starting at Rs 9 lakh, the new Altroz XZ LUX trim boasts a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with a new operating system, a 360-degree camera, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For an additional Rs 65,000, the Altroz XZ+S LUX (priced at Rs 9.65 lakh) adds four more airbags.

Previously priced from Rs 9.65 lakh onward, the top-of-the-line XZ+ OS trim now comes with added features such as Tata’s in-car connectivity technology and an air purifier, costing Rs 34,000 more at Rs 9.99 lakh.

The new 10.25-inch screen showcases a 360-degree camera view.

Do note that these prices apply to the petrol-manual variants. Both new trims are available in petrol-manual, petrol-DCT, CNG-MT, and diesel-MT configurations.

The Altroz XZ+ OS trim still comes in petrol form only. It no longer features leatherette seats, which are now exclusive to the Altroz Racer. Notable features like an electric sunroof, cruise control, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, 90-degree opening doors, automatic headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers remain unchanged.

Powertrains in the 2024 Tata Altroz

The Altroz continues to offer its 88hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and 90hp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. The petrol engine also has an optional CNG kit. The 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine previously available with the i-Turbo version has been discontinued with the introduction of the Altroz Racer. Transmission options for the standard Altroz include a 5-speed MT and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic for the petrol engine.

Rivals of the 2024 Tata Altroz

Competing against the Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, and Toyota Glanza, the Altroz remains a formidable contender in the premium hatchback segment. Additionally, the new Altroz Racer goes head-to-head with the i20 N Line and Fronx Turbo.
