Bollywood star Imran Khan and his girlfriend Lekha Washington recently rented a home in Mumbai for Rs 9 lakh per month from filmmaker Karan Johar. However, Imran Khan is not the only actor in the industry to lease an apartment. Other names include Katrina Kaif, Kartik Aaryan, and Kriti Sanon. Many Bollywood stars opt to rent a property instead of buying, and there could be several reasons for this decision.
One reason could be that actors want to stay in a specific property, especially if it offers a sea view. What other reasons might there be?

Another reason could be the unstable income of actors, leading them to avoid committing to a large purchase and instead opt for renting. They are willing to spend more on rent than on purchasing a property.

Actors often start by leasing a flat while searching for the perfect fit. Once they find their ideal apartment, they may decide to buy it. Some newcomers initially rent a house because they cannot afford to buy a property at the beginning of their careers. Their earnings may not be consistent, making them hesitant to commit to regular mortgage payments. Additionally, some actors purchase apartments only to rent them out for additional rental income.
Recent actors who have rented apartments include Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and even Salman Khan.
