Complaint filed against Digangana Suryavanshi for attempting to ‘extort money’ from show producers | Web Series.

The controversy surrounding Zeenat Aman’s much-anticipated OTT debut series, Show Stopper, continues to escalate as the show makers have now taken legal action against actor Digangana Suryavanshi. It has been reported that a complaint has been filed against her for allegedly defrauding the production team. This development comes hot on the heels of rumors circulating about financial difficulties faced by the show.

According to reports, MH Films, the production house behind the series, has lodged a police complaint against Digangana for alleged cheating and criminal breach of trust under IPC Section 420 and Section 406. The complaint alleges that Digangana falsely claimed to have secured renowned actor Akshay Kumar and his company as presenters for the project. She allegedly used her purported relationships with A-list celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan to solicit funds under false pretenses.

In addition to the legal action taken against Digangana, MH Films has also issued a defamation notice to actor Rakesh Bedi and Digangana’s fashion designer Krishan Parmar. They have been accused of making misleading public statements that allegedly tarnished the project’s reputation and misled the media about the show’s status.

Advocate Falguni Brahmbhatt, representing MH Films and Director Manish Harishankar, confirmed these developments and stated that Digangana had attempted to extort a significant sum of money in cash, threatening serious consequences if her demands were not met. The matter has been reported to the police for further action.

Earlier reports had hinted at financial woes plaguing Zeenat Aman’s debut project, with allegations that payments to actors and crew members had not been fulfilled. However, Manish Harishankar refuted these claims, asserting that all payments had been cleared and production was progressing smoothly.

Show Stopper, shot in locations across Bhopal, Indore, and Mumbai, delves into the intriguing topic of bra fittings and the health implications of wearing ill-fitting bras. The series features a stellar cast including Zarina Wahab, Shweta Tiwari, and Sourabh Raaj Jain. Stay tuned for more updates on this gripping drama!
