Munjya, the horror-comedy film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, has shown significant growth at the box office on its second day in India. According to Sacnilk.com, the film has raked in nearly ₹7 crore on day 2, surpassing the ₹4 crore it earned on its opening day. The total box office collection of Munjya in India now stands at approximately ₹10.75 crore nett.
The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Amar Kaushik, has garnered praise for its captivating story and impressive CGI technology. Maddock Films took to Instagram to celebrate the film’s success without any A-list actors, calling it a record-breaking achievement and setting the stage for a remarkable box office run.
Lead actress Sharvari expressed her joy at the positive response from audiences, stating, “I’m thrilled to see the outstanding start that Munjya has received at the box office. Munjya features an ensemble cast including Sharvari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj. Set in Pune and the Konkan region of Maharashtra, the film revolves around the eponymous mythical creature from Indian folklore. Bittu, played by Abhay Verma, finds himself in the creature’s path, while Mona’s character Pummy is fiercely protective of him.
