Tata Harrier EV set to compete with Mahindra XUV700 EV, to be launched by late 2024 in India.

Tata Motors is set to electrify the automotive market with the launch of two exciting EVs in the current financial year. The highly anticipated Curvv EV is expected to make its debut this festive season, while the flagship electric SUV, the Harrier EV, will also join the lineup within the same fiscal year.

Here are some key details about the upcoming Tata Harrier EV:

1. Utilizes Punch EV’s Acti.EV architecture for enhanced performance and efficiency.
2. Expected to come equipped with a 60kWh battery providing up to 500km of driving range on a single charge.
3. Features a dual-motor setup and an all-wheel drive system for superior traction and control.

The Harrier EV is designed based on the renowned Land Rover-derived Omega platform used in the ICE-powered Harrier. However, it has been extensively re-engineered to accommodate an electric powertrain. The interior is likely to feature a flat floor design, along with innovative vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.

With a sleek and modern exterior design showcased at Auto Expo 2023, the Harrier EV is set to compete directly with Mahindra’s XUV700-based XUV.e8. Both vehicles are expected to be priced above Rs 30 lakh, ex-showroom.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Tata Harrier EV as it gears up for an electrifying entrance into the EV market!
